Evaluasi Nilai BK, dan BO in-vitro dan Konsentrasi NH3 Tanaman Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L) Moench) Hidroponik

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi tanaman sorgum hidroponik sebagai pakan ternak ruminansia. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sorgum var. Samurai-2 (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench). Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah percobaan produksi gas secara in vitro menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 4 perlakuan, 5 ulangan dan 3 kelompok berdasarkan pengambilan cairan rumen. Variabel yang diamati meliputi presentase Degradasi Bahan Kering (DBK) dan Degradasi Bahan Organik (DBO) serta konsentrasi NH3 dari residu produksi gas inkubasi 48 jam secara in vitro. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengaruh umur panen terhadap semua perlakuan tidak memberikan perbedaan yang nyata terhadap DBK berturut-turut P1 (71,07 ± 3,44%), P2 (71,25 ± 3,14%), P3 (66,81 ± 8,10%) dan P4 (65,14 ± 7,66%). Nilai DBO tidak memberikan perbedaan yang nyata antar perlakuan dengan nilai P1 (76,42 ± 2,88%), P2 (75,94 ± 2,71%), P3 (75,41 ± 2,41%) dan P4 (71,34 ± 2,88%). Konsentrasi NH3 memberikan perbedaan yang sangat nyata (P<0,01) antar perlakuan dengan nilai P1 (3,24 ± 0,25 mM), P2 (3,29 ± 0,34 mM), P3 (3,27 ± 0,20 mM) dan P4 (3,35 ± 0,35 mM). Perlakuan P1 dengan umur panen 9 hari setelah tanam merupakan perlakuan terbaik untuk DBK dengan nilai 71,07% dan DBO dengan nilai 76,42% dan konsentrasi NH3 dengan nilai 3,24mM.
